About Bethany

Bethany Carns is a graduating senior at Rowan University, one of the few institutions in the United States to offer a B.F.A. in Biomedical Art and Visualization. She will graduate summa cum laude in May 2026 with a minor in Biological Sciences.

Her academic experience spans scientific illustration, digital and traditional media, sculpture, and 3D modeling, supported by extensive coursework in biology and anatomy. This interdisciplinary training has allowed her to develop a versatile skill set and a strong foundation bridging both art and science. Bethany’s work is centered on medical and anatomical visualization, with a particular focus on anaplastology and the role of art in restoring form, function, and confidence. Her portfolio includes a range of projects completed through coursework and independent study, demonstrating both technical precision and thoughtful problem-solving.

She is currently seeking opportunities in medical and scientific visualization, clinical environments, and applied healthcare settings where visual communication can enhance education and patient care. She is actively pursuing a career in anaplastology, with the goal of becoming a certified anaplastologist. To support this path, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in anaplastology and will be obtaining certification as a dental assistant to further develop the clinical and technical skills essential to the field.
